Project Financial Analyst

Position Summary

Contract Project Financial Analyst provides support in the effective financial and administrative monitoring of the projects, in compliance with client’s policies and procedures.

This includes support to financial and administrative planning, monitoring and reporting, audit and budgetary controls, monitoring of projects requirements and support for procurement of services related to the projects with working with the Project Managers and Capital Programs Leader.

Tasks & responsibilites would include:

  • Consistently maintain and demonstrate a high regard for personal safety
  • Ensuring regular employees and contractors are well-informed of the status of cost associated with projects.
  • Provide necessary training of job, skill and knowledge in finance.
  • Strong team player, able to communicate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds
  • Maintain and post weekly timesheets for outside engineering and cap engineering.
  • Ability to organize work in order to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain and promote a positive working environment with a variety of partners.
  • Competence in financial management systems.
  • Strong time management and task coordination skills.
  • Highly numerate and confident using Excel.
  • Demonstrated experience drafting timely, accurate reports for internal and external accountability.
  • Train and guide Project Managers on project finances, administration and budget management (Cost Estimate Spend File, AR Tracker, and T&M not exceed projects.)

Key Metrics Role is Accountable for:

  • Assist project managers to maintain cost estimate spreadsheet
  • Assist project managers on updating monthly AR tracker on 12 month project spending
  • Maintain and post outside and cap engineering
  • Send transfers of cost for capital related activities around engineering and maintenance to capital to finance for posting .
  • Assist project managers on the closure of projects, review closure to ensure all cost has been accounted for and allocated correctly, and send to fixed assets for closure.

  • Site Leadership team - Build sustainable & trust relationship to site management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or university degree in the field of finance and/or accounting with at least 6 months of experience or more in finance
  • Good understanding of business interrelationships
  • High awareness of responsibility and costs
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and motivate teams, drive change, and deliver quantifiable improvements
  • Highly motivated and energetic, willing to demonstrate significant ownership in the financial accounting
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strategic thinking ability
  • Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Outlook / Office / Excel/ etc. – computer basics
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple tasks at one time
  • Experience in financial accounting and SAP is a plusExperience working a manufacturing facility 

This position allows for remote work 2-3 days per week.

This position is a long term contract with potential to transition to direct employment with client.

Minimum 5 years in industry. Must have good construction knowledge and field measuring experience. AutoCAD 2D & 3D required. AutoDesk Plant 3D knowledge a plus.

Instrumentation and Electrical Technician

Job overview and responsibilities

  • Provide support for installation, inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs for electrical equipment such as, but not limited to, motor control centers, generators, transformers, switches, relays, wiring, electrical signal and communication systems, variable frequency drive (VFD), power distribution center (PDCs), uninterrupted power source (UPS)
  • Provide technical support to day-to-day operations and maintenance for repairs and equipment troubleshooting

Education and Experience:

Experience:

  • Ten years of electrical and instrumentation / controls experience

or

  • Four years of relevant instrumentation / controls experience and BS EE

Skills :

  •  Knowledge of NEC, federal, state, and local requirements for repair, service, and installation of industrial electrical systems.
  • Working knowledge of Windows, and Microsoft Office Programs
  • Knowledge of E&I best practices, standards and maintenance requirements such as technology specific installation,  and troubleshooting
  • SAP Experience a plus

Contract position at local chemical plant. Responsible for managing personal safety, budget, and schedule for both engineering and construction phases. Contract Procurement Specialist

Position Summary

Contract Procurement Specialist will be responsible for finding goods and services for the company at the best value regarding quality and price for projects. The type of goods procured varies from one project to another with the underlying duty of meeting budget constraint to increase profitability. Additional duties of this position include assisting the analysis and preparation of contracts and working closely with upper management teams as well as outside vendors to meet project requirements and work with corporate procurement team on standardization and other purchasing processes

  • Provide necessary training of job, skill, and knowledge in procurement of goods and services.

Procurement

  • Identify suppliers of goods and services
  • Serve as the lead procurement specialist for the engineering department, responsible for creating, tracking, and updating purchase documents.
  • Negotiate terms with suppliers such as price, quality of goods, deadlines, expectations, etc.
  • Liaise with suppliers and project managers regarding updates and details of goods
  • Create purchase orders and tally these with supply requests and orders
  • Attend meetings with the legal department to ensure any contractual obligations are favorable to the company
  • Work closely with the projects team to understand details of procurement requirements
  • Proactively identifies opportunities and demonstrates a bias towards action in response to issues as they occur
  • Knowledgeable about current and future material commodities and market trends as well as continuously learns about the business requirements
  • Embraces companies core values and beliefs, and employs them on a daily basis in interactions within and outside the organization 
  • Demonstrates good judgment incorporating risk management to create both immediate and long-term value

Key Metrics Role is Accountable for:

  • Assist project group with quoting and procurement of goods and services.
  • Convert purchase requisitions to POs
  • Work with corporate commodity managers on contracts for larger projects.

    Assist with issues associated with purchasing and invoicing

This position allows for remote work 1-2 days per week, after training is complete.

$50,000/ annually ($24.03/hr), paid holidays and vacation, health insurance available, 401K after one year of full time employment.
